Dr. Kody Klaassen PT, DPT, Owner
Kody is originally from Logan, Utah where he attended Utah State University and obtained his bachelors degree in Human Movement Science and minor in Psychology. While attending Utah State he was a member of the USU Men’s Soccer team.
He and his family moved to Gilbert, Arizona in 2018 to attended A.T. Still University where he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree in 2021. He then went on to complete a Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency in 2022, including an internship with Phoenix Rising FC.
Following his residency he worked as a performance physical therapist at EXOS in Phoenix, AZ treating professional, collegiate, and high school athletes. His professional athlete experience includes working with athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB and professional soccer leagues.
Following his time at EXOS he founded K2 Physical Therapy & Sports Performance. K2 specializes in the rehabilitation and prevention of sports related injuries through movement/exercise based treatments for high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. K2 is a leader in speed development and specializes in speed training for their athletes. Kody has a special interest in the treatment and prevention of hamstring strains and ACL rehab in athletes.
Kody’s love for sports and athletics is incorporated into his patient care and believes everyone is an athlete and should be treated as such! He loves pulling out the inner athlete in everyone and helping people accomplish their goals through movement and exercise.
Kody is a sneaker head and loves spending time with his family – wife Sarah, son Jett, and three daughters Jordi, Quinn and Nike. They love the outdoors, cheering on the Utah Jazz, Utah State Aggies, and USC Trojans, and doing anything active and adventurous.

Dr. Ashley Schulz PT, DPT, OCS
Ashley was born and raised here in Arizona and attended Arizona State University to obtain her bachelors degree in Exercise Science and minor in Music Studies. She played a variety of sports growing up and ultimately found the most fun with lacrosse which she played early into college before buckling down to prepare for physical therapy school.
She attended A.T. Still University with Kody where she also earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree in 2021. Ashley also completed her Orthopedic Residency with Kody in 2022.
Ashley has been working in the orthopedic environment for over 2 years and has since become a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. She has a personal love and passion for strength training and believes the field of physical therapy needs to ensure that all patients are being pushed appropriately. Ashley takes on a collaborative approach to patient care and encourages the provider and patient to feel like a team with mutual goals. Your goals are her goals!
Ashley loves spending time with her husband Kyle and their two cats Suki and Pickles. They love to travel, go to concerts/comedy shows, stay active, and try new restaurants.

Dr. J.A. Graves, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
J.A. is an Arizona native, growing up in Chandler before moving to Dillon, Montana where he played football for the University of Montana-Western. After a back injury sidelined him, he attended ASU before finishing his degree at Central Washington University, studying Clinical Exercise Physiology.
J.A. returned to AZ in 2012, where he attended Midwestern University and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015 while also becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
From 2015 – 2022, J.A. worked in outpatient orthopedics specializing in the treatment of weekend warriors/active adults, youth and professional athletes. During this time, J.A. became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics and developed a special interest in baseball as well as expertise in the examination and treatment of overhead athlete.
In 2022, J.A. transitioned to academia, becoming an Assistant Professor at A.T. Still University and serving as a mentor for the Orthopedic Residency Program. While teaching, J.A. continued to work with youth, college, and professional athletes, predominately those in MLB organizations and the NFL.
J.A. loves spending time with his family, including his wife, two children and their three dogs. When he’s not coaching or attending his kids sports, he loves reading, working out, and spending time with his wife and children.
